The Watsonville Brown Beret Youth Brigade is a campaign to establish a solid youth contingency in Watsonville who will eventually become the future leaders in our local movement. By creating an alternative, we are inducing the homies and the chavalit@s to educate and politicize their mind. It is up to us to empower the youth of our barrios and to instill pride of their culture, heritage, people, and community. It is through these means that we will see a much needed change in our comunidades.
The Youth Brigade Power Sessions will take place every Thursday from 4pm-6pm at the Brown Beret Headquarters, in Watsonville. It is open to any person interested in learning about revolutionary history, cultura, race, gender, politics, revolutionary hip-hop, the history of California gangs, Mexicayotl, spirituality, black and brown power, Chicanism@, and other global movements.
